Haikou Meilan International Airport

With an area of 1.25 million square meters, Meilan Airport has 217 routes and 134 cities as of the first three quarters of 2023. Meilan Airport is 20 kilometers from the city center and takes a 30-minute drive to Hainan University.

Sanya Phoenix International Airport

Located in Sanya City of Hainan Province, China, Sanya Phoenix International Airport is 378 kilometers away from Haikou City. It’ll take about 4 hours by car or 1.5 hours by rail for visitors to Haikou.

Railway Transportation

Haikou East Railway Station: the largest train station in Haikou. It is located at the Fengxiang Road intersection of Longkunnan Road, Longhua District, Haikou City. The station is 8 kilometers away from the city center. Passengers can take the intercity train at Haikou Meilan Airport to Haikou East Station.

Sanya Station: Located at 10, Yuxiu Road, Sanya City, the station is about 8 kilometers away from Sanya city center. Passengers can take a train at Sanya Station to Haikou East Station, the whole journey takes 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Phoenix Airport Station: Located at Phoenix Airport in Sanya City, the station is about 14 kilometers away from downtown Sanya and about 180 meters away from the north side of Phoenix Airport Terminal Building. Passengers can take the train at Sanya Phoenix Airport Station to Haikou East Station, the whole journey takes 1 hour and 40 minutes.
